Second-year male Anna's Hummingbird -- Moscow, Latah County (Latilong 4) -- November 2001 - May 2002.

This bird was captured by a concerned citizen near Moscow in November 2001 and taken to a nearby wildlife rehabilitator. This photo was taken when the bird was banded at the invitation of the rehabber on 28 April 2002. The bird was eventually released in May of that year.

CURRENT STATUS: Rare or very local (code 4) during migration statewide, and casual (code 5) during winter in the west. It's status in the panhandle during winter is not listed on the checklist (at the time of this writing), but it is most likely casual or accidental (code 6) at best.
