Shirley Sturts -- Accept

Well documented by an experienced observer who is familiar with the species

Charles Swift -- Accept

Obviously a very distinctive species with little it could be confused with. Critical features, habitat, and behavior all supportive of ID.

Chuck Trost -- Accept

Fairly good description, even if from memory. Bill size, head shape and eye size, leg color, etc right for this species. Vocalization is distinct, and was heard and confirmed later by CD. Habitat seems correct, as does season.

Cliff Weisse -- Accept

Combination of description and habitat are sufficient to establish identity. I would have liked to see even a basic description of the flight call.

Dave Trochlell -- Accept

The rare bird report provides adequate evidence for acceptance of this candidate as a record.

Carlisle -- Accept

Well described.

dumroese -- Accept

Although a scanty description, the habitat is right, the timing is right, and a long-necked shorebird with a big eye seems to fit, for me, UPSA.

If this goes to a second round, my experience with this observer over the years (northern Idaho RBA) is that the observer is careful and not quick to ID a species without good observation.
