Well described first year male. Only trepidation is that the observer did not specifically eliminate similar aged Scarlet Tanager (Piranga olivacea) which I believe is dealt with indirectly in the description by mention of “brownish” tones verse the greens of the Scarlet. In addition this bird also apparently displayed the crested appearance of the Summer (P. rubra).
