Detailed report and sufficient photos. I also saw this bird on Oct 2 and observed the reddish cap, the bright chest with streaking restricted to the sides, and the narrow eye-ring.

Once again, Cliff's exemplary documentation efforts provide an easy decision on this record candidate. It is clearly a juvenile Sharp-tailed Sandpiper.

Chuck Trost -- Accept

Excellent photos and good description.

Excellent description. Photo shows rufous cap and unstreaked central breast well enough. Interestingly, Pectoral Sandpiper in right hand image appears to have fairly distinct supercillium.

A minor point is mention of size of STSA in direct comparison to female Pectoral Sandpiper. Were there male and female Pecs present to allow determination of sex of various individuals??

Good listing of appropriate STSA features, and adequate comparison with nearby PESA.
