Description fits that of a female Scarlet Tanager - other tanagers were eliminated

Although I think the identification is probably correct, I am changing my vote because, as other committee members pointed out, the Summer Tanager was not considered.

I don't feel there is enough detail in the description to eliminate Summer Tanager.

While this report makes a good case why this wasn’t a female Western Tanager (Piranga ludoviciana), I do not believe enough attention was paid to eliminating the similar female Summer Tanager (P. rubra) for me to get comfortable accepting this record.

I remain uneasy with this one as I don’t believe the similar female Summer Tanager (Piranga rubra) was definitively ruled out.

This was a difficult decision for me. On the one hand the description does seem to support the identification of a female Scarlet Tanager. But it troubles me that the report was written without benefit of any observation notes and was composed over seven months after the time of the sighting.

I'm going to vote again to reject for reasons given in the first round.

I was a bit concerned about female HETA or SUTA, but the darker wing and smaller bill make it seem most likely to be a scarlet tanager.

I'm still not convinced that this bird was not a summer tanager, but it is highly probable that it was a SCTA.

A convincing description of a drab, wingbar-less female tanager, especially with the direct comparison to nearby Western Tanagers.

Same remarks as first round.

The report seems pretty good and I'm almost convinced. I'm not sure Summer Tanager was completely eliminated. I'm not sure the Summer Tanager's "Large bill that is unmistakable" is always so obvious, especially in bad light.
