Chuck Trost -- Accept Careful observers, and good description. |
08-07-2007. chuck trost -- Accept Good description. It seems to me that this detailed of a description written so long after the sighting must have come from field notes. |

Cliff Weisse -- Accept [no comments] |

dumroese -- Reject, specific identification not established I think this report describes a juvy RTLO. I'm confident that Cliff saw what he saw. I'm rejecting only because this was a report written about 18 mo after the sighting, and there isn't any mention in the report if this was from memory or notes taken at the time. I tend to more critical and harsh on "late" submissions because memory is a quirky thing. And although I can recall particular birds in particular places quite well (at least in my opinion), I'm sure the details are fading. I think for reports submitted by IBRC members, we have to ascend to a "higher" level, lest we suggest rubber-stamping records as "good ol boys." |
