04-23-2007. Shirley Sturts -- Accept Good description of plumage and call Observed by 4 experienced birders
4/24/07. Cliff Weisse -- Accept Excellent and thorough description includes all relavent field marks to confirm the ID of Red-shouldered Hawk.
4/25/07. Charles Swift -- Accept Good description including calls.
04-26-2007. Dave Trochlell -- Accept I'm convinced that Dan and John got this identification correct, and I must also report that I saw and heard many of the same characterisics of the bird (or birds) that they reported.
28 April 2007. Hardy -- Accept Gatchet states that he is familiar with eastern RSHA, and describes 4 diagnostic features: lack of patagial bars and belly band, pale crescents on wings, and the banded tail. The features noted in Svingen's thorough report - lack of patagial bars, checkered dorsal flight feathers, tail bands, combined with the vocalizations and behavior - are a convincing description of RSHA. There is nothing to preclude these two reports from describing the same bird, though observers had the impression that there were possibly two birds.
05-05-2007. Carlisle -- Accept Critical details (including the call) & multiple observers.
05-06-2007. chuck trost -- Accept Dan's descriptions seemed best to me.
