Doug Ward--Accept

The combination of the two reports, coupled with the observers’ experience and comparison (relative size and coloration) to other swallow species is sufficient for me to accept.

I found the two reports to be convincing.

Careful and convincing reports eliminate swallow species.

Sturts--Accept

The detailed description by two experienced birders who are familiar with Purple Martin and other swallows in flight is convincing. Similar swallows, swifts and the Europeam Starling were eliminated.

Two careful observers, and the color, size and location sound right. I had heard of ppossible martins in the Heise area years ago, and had made two unsuccessful trips there looking for them.

The descriptions are thorough and convincing. Although I'm voting to accept I wonder if we need to make sure to consider and eliminate any martins not normally found north of the Mexican border (i.e. from Mexico, South or Central America, or the Caribbean) - I think there may be a few.
