| 010-03-2007. Sturts -- Accept Good description with photographs. Photograph and description show the two white primary shafts. This is diagnostic for the Long-tailed Jaeger. Parasitic normally shows 3-5 and the Pomarine 4-6. |
06-08-2008. Sturts -- Accept I'm staying with my first vote for the same reason. |
| 10/4/2007. Cliff Weisse -- Accept Although the report essentially lacks a written description it does point out the two white primary shafts visible in the photos which is diagnostic for Long-tailed and includes excellent photos. Other supporting features visible in the photos include sharply and evenly barred black and white upper- and under-tail coverts, rounded head, face appears pinched, or dished, in front of eyes (a field mark typical of Long-tailed and apparently shown only by Long-tailed - Phil Pickering personal comments), thin bill, pale streaked nape, and small gull body proportions with attenuated rear end while perched on water. |
11-16-2008 Cliff Weisse -- Accept same comments as first round |
| 010-05-2007. Dave Trochlell -- Accept The written description was altogether too brief, but the excellent images submitted in this report make a convincing case for a dark morph juvenile Long-tailed Jaeger. |
11-21-2008. Dave Trochlell -- Accept This one is clearly a Long-tailed Jaeger. |
| 010-06-2007. chuck trost -- Reject, specific identification not established Excellent pictures, but I'm not convinced it wasn't a parasitic jaeger. The bill was only 1/3 dark at the tip, and there was white on the upper wing, which according to Sibley is more often shown in parasitics. |

chuck trost -- Accept
I'm changing my vote because of the excellent pictures, but am still bothered by a lack of adequate description.

| 21 October 2007. Hardy -- Accept Good photos showing diagnostic outer two white primary shafts and fine pale edging on mantle and coverts. |
30 November 2008. Hardy -- Accept Same comments as first round. |
| 11-04-2007. Carlisle -- Accept Great pictures show the 2 pale primary shafts. |
11-25-08. Carlisle -- Accept No change from prior comments |
| 13 Nov 2007. Darren Clark -- Accept The written report is lacking in details, but the photographs certainly seems to support the identification of this bird as a Long-tailed Jaeger. |
11-18-2008. Darren Clark -- Accept The photographs still look good for Long-tailed Jaeger. |
