09-14-2007. Sturts -- Accept Photograph is diagnostic - plus letter from Dr. Gauthreaux confirming the identification, including the reasons for his opinion.
09-16-2007. Dave Trochlell -- Accept I personally studied this bird at very close range at Lake Lowell and was convinced it was a dark-morph, juvenile Long-tailed Jaeger.
9/16/07. Cliff Weisse -- Accept The photo shows field marks consistent with Long-tailed Jaeger including attenuated body, rounded head, and bill shape.
3 October 2007. Hardy -- Accept Excellent photo shows stubby bill with dark distal half, lack of "warm" reddish tones to plumage.
010-06-2007. chuck trost -- Accept Excellent picture, but almost no description. But, photo is diagnostic, and cooberation by Sid was good.
11-04-2007. Carlisle -- Accept I saw and studied this bird carefully with Sid Gauthreaux (whose note is being used as the report). The bird had been originally identified as a Parasitic. We arrived and had forgotten a field guide so studied all jaeger field marks as well as we could - key features included only 2 pale primary shafts; short, stubby tail extensions; extensive dark nail on the bill; and small size.
13 Nov 2007. Darren Clark -- Accept It seems a little unorthodox to accept a record with no written report. Am I missing something? Anyway, the bird in question seems to be a Long-tailed Jaeger
