The documentation was very good and convincing. That said, I think that the rare bird reports for both 12-B-09 and 26-B-09 should have considered and competed Great Black-backed Gull as a another potential similar species.

Enough discussion of size and structure, along with a decent comparison to other potential candidates supports a good set of photos to confirm identity. There is also enough evidence, both written and photographic, to lead me to believe this is a different individual than record 12-B-09 seen a few days earlier.
