Although the sound recording is hard to hear, it sounds like a Least Flycatcher to me. The written description and photographs also support the identification.

Although not crystal clear, the images are helpful and the sound recording exhibits the Least Flycatcher's diagnostic call

Description good, particularly in discussing call note quality and emphasis. While the photos leave open some questions as to identity, the bird’s general structure does fit with a Least (Empidonax minimus), and from a plumage standpoint, the third photo shows the very dark bar separating the two obvious white wing bars which to me is an important key. Lastly, I think this is the first documentation I have ever reviewed that came with a diagnostic recording – technology can be a wonderful thing.

Good write-up and adequate pictures. I couldn't listen to the call, but am convinced he heard it and it was this species.
