HOW AND WHEN DID YOU POSITIVELY IDENTIFY THE BIRD, AND WHAT CLINCHED THE IDENTIFICATION FOR YOU?

I have seen these birds at this location since early July of last year and are sometimes not easy to find but see them often.

HOW DID YOU ELIMINATE SIMILAR SPECIES, AND WHAT WERE THEY?

By seeing them often and having the Mourning Doves close by they are quite different in color and slightly larger than the MODO's.
