Well described by an experienced birder. Diagnostic field marks noted that separate the bird from similar species including the Ringed Turtle-Dove. This species has been reported in the Spokane area so there showing up in nearby Post Falls is no surprise.

I still feel like this report adequately describes Eurasian Collared-Dove.

Almost certainly these birds were EUCDs, but the description does not quite convince me. The EUCD's dark undertail coverts were not seen or described, and the birds were inadequately competed agains't African Collared-Dove (formerly Ringed Turtle-Dove).

As I said in the first round, it's highly likely that these doves were Eurasian Collared-Doves, but the description was not convincing enough for me. The report described "dark primaries", which could indicate EUCD, but then I've also seen plenty of African Collared-Doves (Ringed Turtle-Doves) with dark-looking primaries. A description of the bird's undertail area or voice would've been very helpful, but unfortunately this information was not included in the report.

Well described. I recently saw two ringed turtle doves, and the differnce was immediately obvious.

Hardy -- Accept

Even though the diagnostic undertail pattern was not observed, I am comfortable with accepting that this self-described experienced reporter was able to distinguish these birds from escaped Ringed Turtle-Doves based on overall darker coloration. The wariness described also reinforces this acceptance.

I think the description is adequate and Doug continues to report EUCD from this location (now multiple birds suggesting a breeding group).
