Sturts -- Reject, natural occurrence questionable

To be consistant with my other votes of geese from Ann Morrison Park, I'm voting to reject for the same reasons.

Cliff Weisse -- Accept

Photos are not very good but head and bill structure, dark coloration, and small size are still apparent. I agree with the subspecies ID as well, minima.

Cliff Weisse -- Accept

The photos included are less than ideal but head/bill structure, as well as size and overall coloration, are apparent and sufficient to confirm the identification of "minima" Cackling Goose.

Still sounds good.

Hardy -- Reject, natural occurrence questionable

I think that this is a minima - it is one-half the apparent mass of the Canadas, and has a pronounced steep forehead.

But it certainly looks tame...could be an escapee.

Hardy -- Reject, specific identification not established

The bird in the photo is clearly smaller and darker than the nearby CANG, but the report and photo do not establish that this is a CACG and not one of the smaller subspecies of CANG.

The fuzzy pics leave little doubt, and the description is quite thorough.
