Did you takes notes? No.

Did you consult a field guide or other reference work? If so, which guide(s)?  After observation: National Geographic and the Sibley Guide

Description of bird: A yellowish warbler with long wings; 2 whitish wing bars; whitish undertail coverts; and pale legs.

Behavior of bird: Captured in mist-net.

How and when did you positively identify the bird, and what clinched the identification for you?  The combination of long wings, yellowish coloration, wing bars, whitish undertail coverts, and pale legs/feet.

List similar species and how you eliminated them:  Several other warblers can be similar to this (fall) plumage of Blackpoll Warbler, especially including Pine (longer tail, etc.) and Bay-breasted (dark legs, dingy-buffy undertail coverts).

What is your experience with this or similar species?  I have seen hundreds of this species in all ages/plumages in many states, including Idaho and South Dakota, as well as in wintering areas such as Venezuela and Panama.  We have captured several others in similar plumage both at Lucky Peak (7 others) and Camas NWR (1 capture).

Describe your general birding experience: I have been birding for about 15 years.

Were photos, video, and/or audio obtained?  Yes.
